HIGH-EFFICIENCY POWERTRAINS
The IVECO S-Way offers a versatile choice of Euro VI/E compliant diesel and natural gas engines engineered to maximise productivity and minimise Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
The diesel range centres on two advanced power units: the responsive 8.7-litre Cursor 9 (up to 400 hp) for regional transport, and the flagship 12.9-litre xCursor 13, delivering up to 580 hp and 2,800 Nm of class-leading torque for heavy-duty long-haul operations. Both units are fully type-approved to run on 100% HVO and paraffinic renewable fuels.
For operations prioritising decarbonisation without sacrificing range, the S-Way is also available with biomethane-ready natural gas engines. Powered by the new xCursor 13 NG delivering up to 500 hp, it offers near-silent operation, reduced emissions, and up to a 95% reduction in well-to-wheel CO2 when fuelled by bio-CNG or bio-LNG.
IVECO HI-CRUISE
The IVECO HI-CRUISE GPS predictive driving system integrates advanced driving assistance functions, including eco-roll, predictive gear shifting, and predictive cruise control. Using high-definition GPS mapping, the system anticipates road topography as well as bends and roundabouts, automatically adapting cruise speed for optimal momentum and fuel economy.
HIGH-EFFICIENCY TRANSMISSION
Paired with the powertrain is the 12-speed HI-TRONIX automated transmission (ZF TraXon Gen2). Offering class-leading torque-to-weight performance and extended service intervals, this latest generation features optimised shifting logic, Shift Assistant, and selectable drive modes (Eco, Normal, and Performance) tailored for maximum driveline efficiency.
FUEL-SAVING DEVICES & EFFICIENCY
Engineered to deliver overall fuel savings of up to 11%, the vehicle incorporates an intelligent anti-idling system that automatically shuts down the engine during prolonged stops. Energy waste is minimised by Smart Engine Auxiliaries, including a clutchable air compressor, smart alternator, and variable-flow steering pump, which operate only on demand to keep parasitic engine drag to an absolute minimum.
